The DynoCar Project consists of a model railroad car outfitted with a load cell connected to one of the couplers. The load cell measures the strain on the coupler. The signal from the load cell is amplified, digitized, and transmitted over ZigBee digital radio to a receiver where the amount of load is displayed for the operator.
